Regional Affiliation Agreement
The Regional Affiliation Agreement between Otsego Memorial Hospital (OMH) and Munson Healthcare (MHC) creates a platform for future collaboration and the sharing of best practices.
The agreement was signed in 2006 as OMH worked to identify strategic linkages with other organizations that will help support OMH as it continues to grow and serve the communities in Otsego, Montmorency and surrounding counties.
OMH and MHC have collaborated for mobile imaging, sleep studies, telephone support services, REMEC programming, and laundry services. OMH is a small equity owner of Munson Home Care and Munson Home Services.
The regional affiliation agreement does not change the management or ownership of Otsego Memorial Hospital or Munson Healthcare. Nor does the agreement represent a merger between the two organizations. The agreement creates the window of opportunity for collaboration on a variety of topics, all of which will include staff, administration and medical staff of both organizations, as specific items for collaboration are identified.
This shared commitment to quality will help both OMH and MHC serve their respective goals of improving access to care to the patients served throughout the region.
