Consumer Perception

Your thoughts and opinions matter to OMH. That is why every two years OMH conducts a consumer perception survey. We do this to better understand our patients, and more importantly how we can continue to provide the highest level of service, technology, and staffing for our community.
 

Here are some of the results for the most recent 2008 Consumer Perception Survey:


OMH is the region’s most preferred hospital.

OMH is identified as Best Hospital for:
Minor Emergencies: 69.7%
Outpatient Surgery: 49.6%
Maternity Care: 48.5%
Orthopedics: 45.1%

OMH is identified as Best Hospital for:
Caring Employees: 36.5%
Nursing Care: 31.2%
Most referred hospital by physicians (61.9%)

Average wait time to see a specialist at OMH after calling for an appointment is 6.7 days. ---
This is the shortest average in all hospitals in the region.


All results listed above are from a 2008 survey conducted by an independent research firm.
The survey included 600 consumer interviews in eight counties.
