Our OT department focuses on aspects of returning patients to the maximum level of independence through graded activities of daily living via supervised interventions in our mock apartment – ensuring patient safety with activities of daily living prior to being discharged to their home environment.
We provide proficient treatment of pathological conditions resulting from trauma, disease, and congenital or acquired deformity. We will assist to promote goals of prevention, function, restoration of function and/or reversal of progression of pathology in order to enhance quality of life for those with upper quadrant disease or injury.
We have capabilities to custom fit orthotics to the upper extremity with static or dynamic splints, evaluate need for advanced custom seating and necessity for manual or power wheelchairs, and assess home safety and accessibility including recommendation for adaptive equipment or home modifications to promote maximum independence and assist our patients back to a full and productive life.
